Brad Pitt has waded into the Gulf oil spill controversy with an extraordinary veiled attack on BP.
The Hollywood actor said he would consider the death penalty for those to blame for the ruptured well that gushed millions of gallons of oil into the ocean.
He was speaking in a documentary due to be screened in the US tomorrow tonight.

I have never understood why someone who makes a living pretending to be someone he/she isn’t, speaking dialog that was written by someone else, etc., feels that skill set gives them moral authority to issue proclamations on the issues of the day.
Don’t get me wrong. I recognize that acting is a worthy craft and actors and actresses who are good at what they do fill a need in society, but so do accountants and garbage collectors — neither of which get asked for their views very often.
I’ve always thought that the death penalty for leftwing, Hollyweird kooks would be a good idea but I’m a little weird myself.
In this documentary Mr. Jolie is directed by Spike Lee (rolls eyes.) All I need to know.
