My neighbors have a beautiful, happy, wiggly, tail-wagging girl named Heidi, solid white, who looks much like this one. The dogs people associate with the breed, that make the news, have been bred for and abused by dogfighters and those who see some form of status in possessing a lethal animal. Few are actually like that.

Are they powerful, muscular dogs capable of injuring people? Yes, along with many other breeds. The desire to do so isn't present in one that isn't raised to behave that way nor deliberately bred for agressive traits.
