BTW....neighborhood story from long ago. One neighbor had a Dobie. In a properly fenced yard....with a wrought iron gate at the end of the driveway.

Another (horribly stupid) neighbor went over there, and put her hand THRU the gate.

Yes, she was bit....AND, she was MAD at the dog owner...nothing came of it, thankfully...

I hate to be the one to announce this secret to the world but there’s a *reason* why we have fences and gates.

To keep things in ~in~ and to keep things out ~out~.

Anyone who violates that [unbelievably obvious] constant deserves whatever they get.

I have a Master lock on my front gate and a few idjits have actually climbed *over* the gate to get in the yard.

So, I fenced off the backyard from the front...not for the idjits’ sakes, mind you, but for the safety of my dogs.

If somebody is too stupid to comprehend a -lock-, they may also be too stupid to comprehend shutting an unlocked gate.
