As I said a while back on another thread, they don't view this as the Presidency. To them it's nothing more than a 4 or 8 year party on the public dime. Wonder how this would have played out with a Republican in the WH?

Probably the same way our economic disasters would. With Obama, it seems even his opponents are unwilling to just say out loud, this ass has us where we are today. If we were this far into GOP control of congress and a GOP presidency, they would be being blasted from all directions.

I have a theory that says it’s both.

Every president since Washington has had to play to his base.

My hunch tells me that they calculate that as long as they have 97% of the black vote sewn up that they’re close to being unbeatable.

My guess is that this plays well to the base - and to hell with what the rest of the country thinks.
