A dress code is reasonable to set expectations. Uniforms are for socialists.

They can be, but they are traditional in Catholic schools, and maybe that’s where they should stay. Strict dress codes for public schools, uniforms for Catholic schools. I couldn’t imagine not sending my daughter off in her plaid jumper to school every day back when she was in school.

Not in our house. They are the best thing to happen for my grandsons. The emphasis shifts from clothes to more serious issues, like learning - especially for the girls. It is so nice to see kids tidy, shirts tucked in, no logos or printing, pants with belts, no bare skin. On Wednesday they wear a white dress shirt because it’s chapel day. Also saves us a ton of money and yet allows the kids to have a couple of really cool outfits for parties and such.
