A Lab. But per population, how many Lab attacks are there vs. pit bull/pit mix, or rottweiler attacks?

According to city public health records, labs normally rank number one for attacks in many cities. Other breeds may rank higher in some areas, and these numbers directly relate to the popularity of the breed, not to its propensity to bite- pit bulls are estimated to be around 10 million strong right now in this country, so in larger cities, they tend to tie with or beat out labs, cockers, etc. Most dog attacks do not cause monstrous injuries, including most pit bull and rottweiler bites, but many that DO are not considered newsworthy unless they come from marketable dog breeds.
There is a huge discrepancy between what public health records show and what the media reports. We only hear about a couple of dog attacks a day, mostly from pit bulls or other “mean” breeds, yet the records indicate that over two thousand people end up in the hospital every day in this country from dog attacks.
