WARREN, Mich. - A Warren woman takes matters into her own hands after she says a pit bull attacked her small lap dog. She says it is not the first time the pup has attacked, so she shot it. Meanwhile, the owners of the pit bull are very upset. They say the dog is friendly and plays with all the kids in the area.
Is a seven-month-old pup who was shot in the back a victim or a ruthless and vicious dog? That depends on who you ask.
On Saturday, Tiffany Pope says Diamond, the next door neighbor's pit bull, attacked and was ready to kill her dog, so she pulled out a gun and fired one shot.

You’re making things up LOL!
Nowhere does it say the dog was on her property.
It says She waited until She was on her property.
Story stinks and frankly so do you.
Some are - so are some gun owners, apparently.
Like the pit's owner said, if his dog attacked her, where are the injuries? Shouldn't be too hard to figure out if what she said was true. If it isn't, then charges should definitely be filed against her.
“her” should be “hers”.
Apparently though, someone would be stupid enough to make that statement.
Go ahead —let your kids play with the neighbor’s pitbull. I’m not stopping you.
I’d sooner let them play with a well-mannered ‘pit bull’
than have them anywhere near a reactionary kook like you.
Account of the dogs owner clearly says the shot was taken while SHE at least was on her property. You maintain that she made the shot while she was on her property but the dog was not? Based upon what?
Your own wishful thinking and reflexive impulse to defend Pit Bull owners who think their dogs should roam out of their control through the neighborhood?
The dog was obviously not under its owners control. While not under control it apparently was aggressive towards a smaller dog whose owner apparently “waited... until she got on her property and took the shot”.
Pit Bull owners who think their precious luvvy wuvvy little darlings should roam free stink, and frankly so do you.
Bon apitit!
. . . Spelling intentional.
I love you too. By the way, I like your tag line. I googled it and yes indeed, that is what Hussein said!
“It says She waited until She was on her property.”
That was according to what the dog owner said. Not the police.
It’s a he said, she said situation, an will be sorted out in court I’m sure.
I never take sides until ALL the facts come out.
What?! When I got my permit to carry I didn’t go ‘looking for something’ to shoot. That’s not what people seek to do when they get their permit to carry. I don’t think you get that.
Correct
I’ll give the owner this... he sounds righteously pissed offed.
You say ‘correct’ to my statement and then ‘give the owner this’??
What happened to waiting for the facts?
Made up your mind I see.
Someone being ‘pissed off’ doesn’t make them right!
Pit bull owners are criminals.
Good for her. Those are the muslims of the dog world and serve absolutely no purpose. Can they provide good companionship? Sure but so can any number of dogs that don’t have that kind of destructive potential and that don’t intimated everyone who passes by. Get a lab, or a setter, or a spaniel, or a beagle, etc, etc, etc.
I can’t respond to ALL the snarky comments regarding my post. But, as y’all can see from my “about me” profile, I’m a 25 year member of the NRA. I’m also a CAT PERSON. Dogs are way low on my list of “likeable creations”.
In any case, PLEASE watch the video at the link. Read the story at the link. It appears that the woman shot into the neighbors yard, with a 4 year old in the vicinity. THIS alone, shows an irresponsible use of a firearm in a non-life threatening situation.
I’m not a CCW holder - yet. However, I think that when I do acquire this permit, I will probably be a lot more hesitant about exercising this priveledge. With this “right”, comes great responsibility. I don’t see this component in THIS situation.
Looks like a sweet dog... I have a crazy neighbor that is scared of my boxers ... he has a small yappy dog also ... the crazy guy’s yapper bit my dog on the nose one day and he called animal control on my dog because he barked at his yapper (his yapper had assumed the surrender position on his back and was unharmed) what a moron! ...
This old lady sounds like the same kind of person. I would sue the cr*p out of her for vet bills and try to instigate an arrest for unlawful discharge of a firearm or something similar.
P.S. Chet99 .. get help
I don’t see where your argument is supported by the known facts, absolutely no evidence of an attack ,, sounds like they are neighbors and she lured the playful puppy to her yard with the yappy annoyance.
