Whoaaaaa... problem with the poll. It makes the assumption that islam is a religion.
Most people do not recognize that what happens in a mosque is sedition. Pure and simple. Islam is not just a “religion”, it is a cult, it is it’s own government, its judicial...is in its sharia, and its military (jihadis) all rolled into one with one intent ...and that is to rule wherever they take root. It is a invasive, systemic infection looking to take over the host once it has quantum.
This is not just a “religion”, but something that cloaks itself in those terms so it should not be given the same treatment contemplated under the first amendment. It’s rules are to consume whatever government is wherever it goes. To supplant and replace.
The sooner America learns this , the better!

IT IS NOT ABOUT SENSITIVITY
Its about Islam being a violent hate filled movement that needs to be attacked and driven back to hell. SENSITIVITY, oh yeah, that will stop the moslems. Our leaders don’t have the courage to talk the talk against islam so they want to debate the sensitivity of it.
The moslems see that they are building a GIANT MOSQUE at GROUND ZERO, and they see that the cowardly American response is to whimper the words SENSITIVITY.
Supporting the building of any mosque ANYWHERE
is supporting hate crime against women EVERYWHERE.
or maybe cutting off a womans ears and nose and whipping her and stoning her are just a lack of sensitivity.
I didn’t like the options but I went with:
“No, this is about sensitivity, not religion”
I don’t like the word “sensitivity” because it is really is about decency. The people behind this mosque have connections with the same type of people and radicalism that resulted in 9-11 however this really goes much further than just ground zero. We have classes being taught right now promoting the mindset of the bombers in our publicly funded colleges under the guise of “Middle Eastern Studies”, “Palestinian studies” etc. I think we have the target set too small. Is it good to allow people with connections to known terrorist organizations to be using the guise of religion to build what are in effect recruiting centers and indoctrination centers for the terrorist mindset?
I however am ambivalent because I do not trust the govt. The left could use this as a tool to shut down Christian churches for much less.
This is Fox News. I certainly hope that the liberal polls would be the same percentages. I mean how can an American feel this is ok.

Name an Islamic nation that allows people to build Mosques wherever they want. The freedom of religion argument is bogus. The instigators who are pushing for a ground zero mosque aren’t the least bit concerned about their religious freedom, not in this country anyway. It is a monument to the jihadists who have murdered Americans in their holy war, a symbol of the Islamic defeat and subjugation of the west.

It’s a religion.... from the dark ages. Is there currently another religion anywhere in the world that preaches death to the infidels? Plus, the true believers in jihad aren’t just a faction but number in the hundreds of thousands! Jew, Christian, Buddhist, Protestant, Baptist, Hindu, Shinto... sure, we can all get together and duke it out. NONE of us are going to show up strapped with explosives.
Let them build the mosque on one condition a Spam cafe can be built next to it.

Excellent summation. Post this on every forum/blog you see regarding the muslims and there mosque. You are so right.....people don’t understand what the muslims number one goal is.
