How fortuitous it was for Britain that the Nazis didn't realize the importance of the coastal radar installations.
Despite the great scientific minds that existed in Germany in that day none of them had a firm grasp on the military applicability of radar.

Don't forget the Freya units. Originally developed for the navy, but coastal units were being installed as early as 1939.
