Just to inject a fact or two, the girl’s father cut the anchor line rather than raising the anchor. He was not wasting any time getting his daughter to medical help. However, had you read the article, the girl was OK, the mother was “stressed out”.

I have observed a few female students injured in one way or another. They seem to cope better than male students. Perhaps their pain threshold is different, perhaps the earlier maturation could be the reason.
