This was in a thread about the 8-year old girl that was shot and killed in Chicago, bringing the total homicides of Chicago up to 253 for the year so far (total found in another reference). Other than that, the quote is quite optimistic. (Made me go “heh”):
“But Daley and police officials have said murder and violent crimes are not on the rise this year, or even for the summer.”
