I wish I had me mudders Black Eyed Pea recipe. She used a combination of green shelled and the string stage. A famous Back Yard Chef in Salt Lake City sent me his and I would give it a ....

I know. Thought I was a pretty good cook, but am finding out now, there are a lot of things I took for granted and don’t know how to make.

Daughter still uses Mom’s recipes, mine, not hers. We just keep experimenting, we’ll either get them right, or we won’t. LOL

My question would be this. “How does a pea, or any green plant, for that matter, grow in the absence of light? I thought they needed light for photosynthesis??

I think there is a Xray rolling around the internet of this guy and I didn’t pay any attention to it because I though my son was spoofing me about eating his peas. He’s 52 years old and still carries the grudge...

Plants don’t need light to sprout, and will grow to several inches in length to get TO a light source. If they cannot get to light, they then die, and a rotting sprout in your trachea would be just as bad or even worse than a living plant sticking out your nose, n’est-ce pas?
