What exactly is wrong or so bad about someone trying out a new religion? It's patronizing dilettantism, that's why.
It's one thing to convert to a religion after serious reflection and then to reveal one's conversion after having spent serious time actually practicing it consistently.
To announce conversion to a new religion while conveniently being on tour promoting a commercial project you're involved in is quite another.

Not pointing this at anyone, but it is so ironic the number of ‘Christians' that emphatically believe that God controls everything and man cannot even direct his step (Jeremiah 10:23)
and then verbally slaughter anyone who disagrees with them. Fools that they are. By their own belief they are mocking God's will. Their words not mine.
