Obama and his cohorts are sure pushing this country to the brink of irreparable divisiveness. Between his mandates on some states at the expense of others and the singling out of some states while ignoring others, he’s going to find a state or two who are willing to use their National Guards for their intended purposes.

As Congressman Paul Ryan put it to Greta, this bill is nothing more than Income Redistribution...taking money from the fiscally responsible states and giving it to the fiscally IRRESPONSIBLE states.

Yep, insanity is about right.

Texas should respond by simply privatizing the public school system... and tell Washington to keep all it’s federal spending on public indoctrination camps.

Fire all the unionized teachers union employees and see how well they do in the private sector.

Sugar Land Republican Pete Olson was particularly incensed that Democrats intruded on what he deemed a state issue.

"If Lloyd Doggett wants to be the governor, he should resign here and go back to Texas and run for governor," Olson said. "This is Rick Perry's responsibility to educate Texas' kids."

Pete Olson is a bozo. Who thinks it would be a good idea for Rick Perry to educate Texas' kids?

Has the Kenyan ever done anything he said he was going to do concerning posting and reviewing legislation on the web? Of course, the Journ0lists give him a pass on it just as they don’t whine that he doesn’t do interviews.

Reparations for sure. Texas also just won a huge victory this March by inserting more conservative ideas into what have historically been socialistic textbooks. This had to p*ss off the administration. I say Texas needs to go private in their education and tell the feds to take a hike.

http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/APStories/stories/D9HH1E702.html

“It is unfortunate that Washington continues to play partisan games with Texans’ tax dollars and the very future of our children,” Perry said. “Texas will not surrender to Washington’s one-size-fits-all, deficit-spending mindset or let Washington do to the Texas budget what they have done to the federal budget.”

Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst issued a statement saying he has “asked the attorney general’s office to explore all legal options to ensure Texas is treated fairly.” Dewhurst, a Republican, said last week he would file a lawsuit against the federal government if the language was not removed.

A spokesman for Republican Attorney General Greg Abbott called the legislation “constitutionally flawed.”

“The attorney general’s office is continuing to coordinate with the leadership as we weigh the state’s options,” said Abbott’s spokesman, Jerry Strickland. “But Texas taxpayers can rest assured that we are prepared to take whatever legal action is necessary to ensure that our schools do not suffer financially from the Doggett amendment’s discriminatory — and constitutionally questionable — provisions.”

U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett, the Austin Democrat who crafted the amendment, called the protests “phony legalistic arguments.”

It is time for Texas to make it illegal for any Texan or Texas company to pay any taxes to any Fed agency, including the IRS. Make it illegal for any company operating in Texas to withhold income tax for the Feds. Etc, etc, etc

“Equal protection under the law” means nothing to B.O. or the Democrat party.
