Keep in mind MP3 downloads have VERY low sound quality - significantly lower than typical CD.

Ultra high quality (24-bit/96Khz) downloads are becoming more widely available that closely approach the quality of the master tape.

I would guess that very few people can tell the difference between a 256 or 320 mp3 and a cd especially not on average equipment.
