She was terrific in A Face In The Crowd with an especially good Andy Griffith.

The really good actors are dying and leaving us with the dreck and dregs. I enjoyed several of her films and am happy to consider myself one of her fans.

Thanks for the great films, Ms. Neal. God rest your soul and give her family and loved ones peace, knowing that she is safe and home.

Boy if THAT ain't the truth. And this lady suffered personal tragedies and overcame them. With grace.

Damn if that isn' one of My favorite John Wayne movies. I catch it every time TCM runs it. It also features Kirk Douglas in what (for the time it was made) was a very complex character. Mostly a hero, but with a pervasive dark side that came out. I look forward to seeing it again.

Check out “Sometimes a Great Notion”. I think it was one of her best roles. That and HUD.

She starred with Gary Cooper in the movie based on the Ayn Rand novel, The Fountainhead.
