...meningococcal meningitis, which is fatal in approximately one in ten cases.

I thought it was more deadly than that. I didn't know some people are immune.

Genetics, the root of all evil......disease, etc.
Next they will reveal that genetic differences make some people more susceptaible to cancer, aids, etc. /sarcasm off =.=

There is that amoeba that eats people’s brains up. Funny thing is it is very rare and that amoeba is everywhere. It mostly strikes children. Typically, the victim is healthy and suddenly gets ill. I have wondered if genetics plays a role too.

meningococcal... it doesn’t sound like something found in the throat, but there are some things I just don’t want to think about. ;’)
