In the comments at the blog that posted the original article, another Indonesian story is cited. That story said that she died from hardening of the arteries, which made her neck arteries burst. Sound plausible? An Asian woman in her early 50s—and we’re supposed to believe she had a fatal stroke brought on by high cholesterol? Maybe her neck arteries did burst, but perhaps not on their own and not because of plaque build up.

Sounds like a microwave gun.

Microwave gun? Yikes! I was thinking more along the lines of an injectible, but that would surely do the trick. How would it show up in a post-mortem, if there was one, to a doctor in a third-world country? (A bribe-able doctor)

Muslim custom is usually to bury the deceased the same day. Before sunset, I believe, which is exactly when they say Lia died. So maybe they took her right out and buried her. We’ll never see any exhumation. And even if someone ordered it, would her body still be there? I hope her husband and children are safe.
