Multiple media and network television sources confirmed to me Thursday that Keith Olbermann will not appear on NBCs Football Night In America Sunday evening NFL broadcasts this season. Some members of the FNIA cast and crew were made aware of the news Tuesday at a preseason production meeting in New York City. Afterwards, the cast and crew adjourned to Yankee Stadium to watch the Yankees-Blue Jays game.

Re:#9 LOL. You have to be kidding me. Its football season dude. Lighten up, grab a beer, and be happy til New Years!
I e-mailed as well, saying I wouldn’t watch as long as he was on. And I didn’t.
So will he be gone from all NFL broadcasts, I wonder? What a blessing!
I’ve got a feeling somebody might have been listening. Sports and politics do not and SHOULD NOT mix. Olbermann is a DNC shill.
Why on earth would they take some guy who actually went to an aggie college off the air? He must have learned something about football, in between milking goats and and germinating soy beans...
;>)
No I am not kidding. But it is a free country, you can certainly give your money to people who consider you garbage if you want.
Thank _od now I can watch it. I love football season and all of the football shows.
:^)
The redhead in the middle. Dear GOD.
I gotta concede though. Olbermann is a helluva sports anchor. Say what you want about his leftist politics but the guy knows his sports.
No. I quit right after I finished Windows 98.
Can we veto Collinsworth’s smirk, too?
Sorry about your boy Olbermann.
Good move!
My neither. And I have emailed the network and sponsors saying as much. I imagine they know he is hurting advertising revenue.
Maybe the new owner Comcast is starting to exert their will? Perhaps this means the end of the stupid “green” week on NBC where they turn off the lights in the studio? I’ve never seen anything more stupid.
Actually - like others here - I turned him off at half time and at the end of the game. I can’t stand the man and hope this is the beginning of him being totally removed from the airwaves.
most players are Baraqqis
many owners also - Mr Steeler even got an ambassador post for his efforts
Oh crap!
I’m sure with you on that!! I refused to watch it at all, and I missed more than one kickoff by being late to change the channel just to be sure I would not hear that reprobate’s voice, or any of his snotty comments.
Best thing to happen to televised football since Lawrence Taylor ended Joe Theismann’s career live one Sunday in 1985...
