"blushing"

Very well, thank you for asking, and I hope that the same is true for you  :-)

I've recently returned from a 10k mile stoatmobile tour through our great country where I had an absolute blast and fell very much in love with The South.  I've had my faith in humanity rejuvenated by my immersion in Southern Hospitality, which is very real and is a delightful change from what I've become accustomed to.

Sadly, I've now returned to a land where gents face a very real risk of getting an icy glare or worse if they dare to hold a door open for a lady  woman, strangers don't smile and stop to chat with me anymore (unless they're panhandlers) , "Baghdad Jim" McDermott is regarded as a 'heroic patriot' and where you will very likely have your car vandalized if you dare to have a Republican or Conservative bumper sticker on it..

"blech"

But the trip has been a tremendous boost for me, seeing that people still know how to be kind and gracious and to live as they should.  Waittresses would say "Good morning dear, what would you like to have today"?  I had a City sanitation worker in Savannah who was emptying sidewalk trash cans look right at me, give me a big, honest smile and say "Good morning sir, how are you today?" (I was completely stunned after this happened).   The owner of a small fried chicken restaurant in Lafayette, LA chatted with me for about a half hour as though we had been lifelong friends. People were SO NICE.  "sigh"

Sorry,  you probably weren't looking for such an in-depth answer to your question ;-)

Thank you for the photos, I needed the laughs.

You're quite welcome, and I'm delighted to learn that I may have played a very small role in bringing a little sunshine to your day  :-)
