There’s not a night goes by that coyotes don’t enter my yard hoping to get one of the feral cats I keep to control snakes. It’s interesting to see how little fear they have of humans these days. They do fear the sound of a firearm discgarging, though.

When I lived in southern California, we would often have coyotes come right up. Some would even act injured to get food. They are very clever, and they certainly don’t view us humans as higher up (but they do run if you bend down to pick something up off the ground)!
