So why would someone think that drinking the blood of a person they murdered is somehow good? If the person is dead, why drink their blood? I don't understand this. They have already succeeded in murdering the person, why drink their blood?

Yesterday, my husband and I went to the bank. The car parked next to us had a rosary and two white plastic skulls hanging from the mirror. My husband and I chuckled. Definitely an immigrant from Mexico or Central America.

I am not familiar with this particular ritual, but because of the reading I’ve done on the santa muerte cult, I was not surprised. I would guess that the act of drinking the blood of a murdered rival would be believed to transfer the life force, the “mana” from the victim to the perp.
