The police put in their report that they arrested her for not showing her ID fast enough so the idea that she wasn’t arrested for that is hooey. I didn’t see any indication that she got angry. The only mention of her emotional state is where she said to the cop “Very scared,” she said. “I’ve never been arrested before.” and told the reporter “I started shaking. I feel nervous. My son was inside park with husband. I was alone,” she said.
“Everyday, it seems to get a little worse, and it doesn’t help when we have conservative justices expanding their (the police) power.”

Except that I have difficulty viewing an enabler of pure thuggery as a “conservative.”

Tell me what your point is. I don’t get it. I’m not defending the cops here. The only thing she did was probably choke when asked for I’d due to being scared and having her kid with her. Law abiding citizens get scared when confronted with the cops while on the defense. Hell, her I’d could have been at the bottom of her bag and she got cuffed while trying to teach for it. Who knows?
My point was what makes it ok for freaking cops to bother this women when she did NOTHING illegal in the first place? She was probably scared and tongue tied. If you’re ok with that then watch out for the police state coming to a place near you.

Wrong thing to do if the cop is in a "hair trigger" mood to arrest someone.
Obviously it was a police officer with an attitude and something to prove. Maybe he just thought that he was doing his duty to preserve order. Or as a previous poster kind said, since she had already left the park when they arrived, it was a wasted trip for the cops and they were mad and out to get her.

When you are in public, it doesn’t matter who ownes the property. If I remember, your arguement was public vs private property. What difference does it make where you are when confronted by jacked up cops?
