Well said. I thought that freepers who believed in freedom of religion and property rights were a vanishing breed. People sure lose their senses when hysteria takes hold.

Yeah - we shouldn’t be hysterical about the 3000 who died that day. Who cares - build a mosque where they died. Hysterical. /s

Don't be silly. Are you honestly saying that you see no practical difference between your average buyer and an Islamic building on the site of massive Islamic terrorism? Truly? Because I'll tell you, I believe in the Constitution, too, but, as they say, it is NOT a suicide pact. Furthermore, the Constitution was intended as a limitation on the power of the federal government, not as a means for the federal government to dictate to each local municipality how they will run their affairs. If the people of New York don't want a mosque on the 9/11 site, there is no principle in the Constitution or anywhere else that says they have to have one.

This is a moral and ethical issue. Not a “property rights” issue. Get off your high horse. This is a smack in the face to all Americans. Screw the muslims who wish to build this. *shakes head*

I sense a ‘tag team’ in you two, Captain Kirk and Age of Reason.
Close sign up dates, calling Freepers ‘hysterical’ about a MOSQUE at Ground Zero.
You are on a board where we care DEEPLY about 9/11, and you are suddenly concerned about property rights for Americans when this Mosque is funded by Saudis???
