The mohammedans are building a mosque at that particular spot for a very good reason. The purpose is not to launch a jihad against the US nor is it to be a bomb magnet nor is it to rub anything in our faces.
They have told us exactly why they are building that mosque there.
How?
Look at the name: Cordoba house.
A little history for those who may be slightly history-impaired. Cordoba, a beautiful town in southern Spain, was home to a caliphate in the Mohammedan's farthest incursion into Christian lands. It was a center of learning and "worship." Cordoba once held a vast library of holdings that they generated and stole from their other conquered territories (some say it held several hundreds of thousands of volumes...and if you consider that this was prior to the invention of the moveable type printing press...that is pretty impressive by any standard).
The name they gave it tells us all that we need to know. It will be a grand building crafted in the name of Allah (piss be unto him). It will be a center of learning and social goodness. In other words, it will be a showplace. A source from where the Mohammedans can peacefully conquer what remains of the Christian west. Jihad (by another fashion).
And the progressives are going to help them in this effort.
Cordova House needs to go BOOM !!!
The tragedy is that they would be able to use an incident at Cordoba House to help them with their mission of a worldwide ummah under a worldwide caliphate. (See how hateful and destructive those old Christians are?)

The funny thing is that when Islamic Spain was at its height culturally (not territorially), there was no overall caliphate. The Muslims world was split up into maybe three differnt parts even them. I know you had the Fatimids in Egypt, who was ruling Iraq? (see, I thought the caliphate was originally based somewhere in Iraq), and a couple of dynasties ruled N. Africa and Spain. One caliph running the whole of the Islamic world probably ceased in the 900s or so.

I know. But because of the significance of that particular name (coupled with the grandiose way that Mohammedans think), it really wouldn't matter. And it won't matter at all to the Mohammedan who lives in Sahara or the one who lives in Singapore either.
Have you ever been to DC? Have you seen the financing that has come out of the Saudi embassy?

I got a better idea. Lets make the World Trade Center, and the mile radius around it, a Muslim free zone
Construction is due to begin on September 11, 2011, the tenth anniversary of 9/11.

They are building a mosque near me in east Louisville. There are no muslims living here, so why would you build here? I’m really upset. They never told us it was going to be built until it was started. I moved here from Dearborn, and the last thing I wanted to see was a mosque.
Sounds good. How about making the United States of America a Mohammedan free zone? (and a mile radius around it, of course).

Lets make America, a white anglo-Christian zone only.

That is just in the city. You also have to consider in the Arlington/Alexandria suburbs (where the Pentagon is), Falls Church, Fairfax County, Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, etc
And that yellow pages listing is not complete. Its missing quite a few
