If I remember correctly, the bridegroom standing on Alice Roosevelt’s right is Nicholas Longworth, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, for whom the Longworth House Office Bldg. was named.

My grandparents were young marrieds living in DC during the Alice Roosevelt Longworth era. Fifty years later, my grandmother was still talking about how Alice Longworth's wedding stirred up the town. There was a song about Alice called "My Sweet Little Alice Blue Gown." Scroll down for a "click to play" audio file.
