Absolutely. You are right on both points. The color matched her eyes — a pale grey blue. My mother used to sing that to me when I was a kid because I had the same color eyes.

Thank you. I’m sorry because it was such a pretty picture of Maureen. I’d never heard that she had a first marriage. She kept pretty much out of the limelight, except when she was campaigning for Dad. She died way too young.

OMG, George herbert Walker Bush looks like his granson Preston (Jeb's son) there. Prescott has darker coloring, of course, but look at them through the eyes and chin.

Oh my goodness! Those bridemaids' headdresses are truly awful. I found many pictures of Jessie Wilson, but noe of her wedding. She was a beautiful woman, although the wedding garb does not let it show.

I read that the oldes Wilson girl did not marry and had a career. She died rather young, overseas, I think. And, I think that Eleanor Wilson died young too.

That hat looks like something the English would wear in Africa, or Egypt, to keep the bugs off. She looks pretty in it, however.

I snitched these off of the thread you posted. Thank you. THat's a very pretty dress, although I do not care for strapless. However, the wedding was outdoors and not in a church. I can't believe that Tricia Nixon shocked the country because her dress was sleeveless and now First Daughters (or former First Daughters) are going strapless. But, the dress fits her very well -- no "muffins" hanging over the bodice.

I believe that this is Nicole Boxer (the Senator's daughter) and Tony Rodham (Hillary's younger brother) at their Rose Garden wedding. It pays to know someone in high places if you are looking for an impressive venue. Unfortunately, they have divorced after one child.

I’m a hard-hearted unromantic old cynic, but I must say that they look terrific together and Chelsea looks stunning; not to drag the Royal Family motif into this, but she reminds me very much of Princess Anne, in the nicest possible way.

Note how simple and understated these are? And all of those marriages lasted many, many years. Truman was not wealthy, but the others had money to spend if they had wanted to. THey chose to do something else with their cash, rather than flaunt it on a party.

Do you mean Chelsea? Amy Carter looks nice in her more modern photo also. Her wedding pictures are dreadful, but I blame her parents for that.

Are you sure? There are many photos of them on the internet and each one says they are married. There is one of them with Rosalyn and Jimmy and B.B. King ... If so - then Amy had another baby because he has a baby daughter now.... Never saw anything mentioned about the new “Carter grandchild” in the Atlanta media...

I don't believe they are. There are numerous photos of her with another man (Jay Kelly)who is identified as her husband. And, Jim Wentzel and Sherri Glass have a new baby girl (according to his Facebook)....
