I agree. There are many of here that belong to the Japanese “they’ve been doing it for centuries” crowd. I think its senseless.

Even worse fisheries managers use senseless killings like this to stop,or severely restrict, the harvest of other species that are normally taken.

Some years ago here in the Keys we spent months trying to bring a dozen or so pilot whales back from a mysterious illness that was effecting them.

They were beaching themselves.

Months later we were able to save a few of them but most perished.

To hear about others arbitrarily killing these animals when there is so much other seafood out there is senseless at best and moronic at worst.
