That's OK, so do app writers for the iPhone, and it's not like having a walled garden for your apps actually catches apps that do something other than what they purport. At least the Android apps have to request access to the network, and contacts, etc... A bit fishy that a wallpaper app requests that access!

The best defense is a smart, aware user. Trojans will always get through. Telling people they're 100% safe because all apps are screened builds a false sense of security in the best guard there is - you.

I know. I trust Apple and Google for as much as my shares of each are worth. Privacy or data control??? Besides, I don't download stupid apps.

No MeeGo phones yet. (Nokia N900 doesn't count and is a year outdated.)
