Sources connected with the "American Idol" negotiations tell TMZ Kara DioGuardi has judged her last contestant on "American Idol" -- because she's been fired.
We're told the show will be going back to a three-judge format and assuming all deals are finalized, the judge's panel will consist of Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.
We're told the only way Kara could get a reprieve is if the J-Lo deal falls apart -- but we're told that deal is done.
Ellen DeGeneres announced earlier Thursday that she was leaving the show after just one season.
Howard Stern’s name was floated for a while as Simon’s replacement. If they put Robin in to replace Kara, that would be a hoot ...
They should go back to the original panelists: Artie Johnson, Jamie Farr, and Jaye P. Morgan, after all, it’s the exact same show.
Ellen was only out of place because she was nice.
Bret Michaels would be great. Brilliant idea. (I would keep Kara though because she judges on merit, like a Republican should.)
Aw too bad. I liked her. I enjoyed the perspective she brought with her and her delivery was thoughtful.
You’re right but I don’t think you really need that. Harry Connick Jr. is genuinely a funny guy. That would be a better reason to tune in , IMHO, than a nasty smartass like Cowell. I also think HC’s music credentials trump everybody else they’re considering.
I'm soooooo disappointed you've decided not to tell us............
You are certainly correct there. And, I also agree about smart ass Cowell. I am sick of meanness on TV. I love to watch Americas got talent but lately I am finding that the English, Irish or whatever guy is starting to get uglier. Critique is one thing tearing down ones talent is another. They trow in some loonies in the competition to spice it up but the serious talent shouldn't be subjected to merciless comments.
Ellen was good with the wise cracks, but it was too evident that she knew far, far less about singing than Randy, Kara, and Simon.
