I wonder how people can honestly say that being a mayor of a city, then being governor of Alaska, a job that she quit when the pressure came on, then a failed Vice Presidential bid magically make her a leader in the conservative movement, and a top pick for a Presidential hopeful. Not that the current President is qualified.
And I completely understand why she did quit. But I don't understand why her devotees won't accept that FACT that she actually QUIT, while trying to make it appear that she turned what mainstream American would conceive as a loss into a colossal victory.
I just wonder why so many persons have monomaniacally decided years in advance that Sarah Palin is the ONLY person who can possibly run for President, unable to look at any other alternative.
I also wonder why any reservation or disagreement regarding Sarah Palin's abilities or qualifications are automatically met with scorn and derision from fellow Freepers, and those questioners are immediately painted with the broad brushes of having ulterior motives, being from a trashy liberal site, a follower of Romney, Paul, etc., or just a Palin hater.
I will answer the best I can.
She is an amazing person that has gifts and talents. I don’t think she is Ronald Reagan, but nobody is. She should get her due for her record and her character. People refuse to say she quit because it felt like her family was being financially extorted and that was wrong.
The people who attack her seem to use the same talking points from DU or MSNBC. Im sorry, but thats reality. I have seen it.
She deserves better from our side.
