That must mean that all the points in the fractal are infinitely close.

One would think that there is some kind of lower bound like the Planck Length or something like that.

I only say that because i stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Personally, I’m looking forward to a fractal solution to the following problem, to wit: How might one release those 4 hook bra closures in the back seat of a 1977 Trans Am parked along a dirt road in fly over country on a Saturday night without being slapped? Discuss.

Um... front or back closure?

Back.

If I can get to a front it’s already a done deal.

Those who don't understand calculus own 99% of the guns and know how to use them. The reason that you guys can commiserate about bizarre theories like fractals is that the rest of us appreciate smart guys and know that your type developed atomic bombs, computers and DDT.

Be careful! They may have ray guns!

I recently finished reading Michio Kaku's, Hyperspace: A Scientific Odyssey Through Parallel Universes, Time Warps, and the 10th Dimension I have a B.S. in geology and I must say the book was a chore...haven't struggled through anything like it for a long time. After getting about 3/4 through I started looking forward to reading it and have gone back to it a couple of times lately to review some topic that has come up...not necessarily in polite conversation.
Great stuff and fascinating subject full of oportunity for new discoveries.

You forgot to add...using only one hand.

Easy as pie once you figure out the technique; should be able to do it in two seconds or less. :-)

Agreed.

But those 2 seconds are fraught with peril, verily. :)

The are using the limit method v. differential method to describe the trajectory (think slope of a curve at a point).

Had I actually fractaled my arm, the ensuing condition would have been so nice to look at that the doc would have refused to fix it.
