A 6,000-acre wildfire in the Kernville area has burned down six homes, forced evacuations and prompted road closures.
About 700 crew members from the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and Kern County Fire Department were on scene Tuesday evening, just over 24 hours after the "Bull Fire" broke out near Bull Run Road.

Wow! I hadn't heard a thing about this fire. I've visited the area numerous times. Are you near there?
We lived in that area (Mountain Mesa) for 9 mos a few years ago so I’m kinda familiar with it. Now we live in Visalia which is just south of Fresno.
Sounds like this fire is burning in the same area as the big 2002 McNally fire.
There’s also a fire burning southeast of Tehachapi that started around 3 pm today. It burned 20 homes right off the bat. I think there were pictures and/or an article about it at this same website.
