Yet another reason for you to like Gov. Chris Christie.

I would pay real money to see this guy debate Obambi

I am guessing that before it was over he would have him in a headlock to make him admit he was a socialist

Yeah, and you would’ve thought that MAC-10’s, murdering drug dealers and all sorts of thugs on Miami Vice would’ve deterred tourism, but it increased it!

Out of curiosity I’ve watched the show a couple of times. It was like watching a car accident. Only one cast member is from New Jersey and she is the only one who is likable. The rest are New Yorkers, mostly from Staten Island.

Yeah...I noticed the HUGE cultural difference between NJ and Staten Island when I drove the half mile across Outerbridge Crossing.

It is easy to tell New Yorkers in these settings. If you drop something on the beach or in the forest, they will refer to the dropped objest as "being on the floor." (actually, floh-uh)

Staten Island is a world onto itself. Very strange culture indeed.

There is a question I have always wondered about, why is the New Jersey coast called “the Jersey shore”? No other state refers to their coast as “the shore”.

The people who live ‘down the shore’ want nothing to do with the ‘Jersey Shore’ New Yorker summer imports.

New Jersey has a huge community by the shore of wonderful families who are dedicated to a more wholesome life, and who avoid the types of lowlife morons on that show.

Christie is absolutely right.

“What it does is it takes a bunch of New Yorkers — most of the people on ‘Jersey Shore’ are New Yorkers — drops them at the Jersey Shore and tries to make America feel like this is New Jersey."

Bennies Go Home!

why is the New Jersey coast called “the Jersey shore”?

We think of it more as a region of the state rather than just the coast as the coast extends for over 100 miles of the state.

And - when you are @ the shore, you go to the beach, not the shore.

Thanks. We just refer to that part of Texas as “the coast”.

I spent many years of my life living on the Jersey Shore. In Tampa now

This "show" is about the stupidest thing I have ever seen on T.V.

It's truly embarrassing to think the rest of the country now has the image of the Jersey Shore is fulled with slutty, moronic, self centered, narcissist bimbo's and bimbets

Ex-wife was from Cape May...spent entirely too much time in that state.

$8.00 bucks hit into NYC and the escape back over the Verrazano Bridge is another $11.00 extortion fee. (traffic jams thrown in for free).

Oh...I know the drill. When I work in the NYC area, I stay in Piscataway.
