Here in east Tennessee, we have been getting wonderful Silver Queen corn for a few weeks now, plus just began getting some really good Peaches and Cream corn. Add in the peaches, watermelon, canteloupe, blackberries, yellow squash, okra, bell peppers, and Grainger County tomatoes, and you’ve died and gone to heaven!

Reminds me of those great crops of silver queen corn down in south Mississippi.

A couple I knew had lots of land and grew lots of vegetables. Delicious! They had their own market stand at the house. I lived several years there down the road from them and bought much every summer.
