I think this is why the guy apparently freaked out so bad...he was a closeted gay with a wife, kids and good job back in Atlanta. Went away for a school reunion in NJ and got a little frisky. Seems like maybe the cop could have handled it without killing the guy....but I wasn’t there and don’t know all the facts.

One wonders why they were using undercover officers?
If the goal is to discourage certain behavior, simply put uniformed officers on a walking beat and in marked squad cars throughout the park.
There certainly wasn't a need for secrecy.
