SAYS OEM, but comes with everything

Pros: For an "OEM" burner, it comes with everything that normally comes with a "RETAIL" one, except a fancy wax-coated box with pretty pictures. It has software to burn BLU-RAYS! That is almost worth the entire cost of the drive. It costs nearly one hundred dollars to purchase software to burn Blu-ray disks. It came with a SATA cable AND a standard Molex to SATA power convertor. Literally everything you need to install and burn away, including one free disk!

Cons: None, whatsoever, except maybe it could be cheaper? I haven't tried to play using this drive, but I already have a Blu-Ray player.
Other Thoughts: Awesome kit. The software included (Cyberlink PowerDVD8) isn't perfect, but it's FREE! It took about 20 minutes to load it all. Within 2 hours of installing it, I had a 24GB Blu-Ray to test. Again, AWESOME. I was able to get 4 hours of HD content on 1 disk at full 1080P resolution.

This one answers a question for me:

Pros: Bought for use on Linux so lack of software not a problem for me. Drive will burn Verbatim LTH BD-Rs, but only after the drive first fails and the drawer is opened and closed again. I am using K3B (version 2.0.0) on an alpha release of Maverick Kubuntu. Older versions of K3B will not recognize BD-Rs but will burn BD-REs.

Cons: Just as slow burning as previous LG models on LTH BD-Rs (1.5 hours) despite the speed increase for faster discs.
