No, that is not what I am saying. To use another analogy, the party in charge is the “bus driver” and we are on a bus going 70 miles an hour. The driver just looked up from his text message to see the bumper of a STOPPED semi 100 feet ahead. It really doesn’t matter how skilled the driver is, we’re gonna rear end the truck. Hard.

This problem has been AT LEAST 37 years in the making. There is no human solution to this. All we can do is, (to return to the Titanic analogy) use the lifeboats as efficiently as possible and make it as painless as possible.
But it’s gonna hurt. For many it already is.
If he was a “skilled driver”, he wouldn’t be texting while driving in the first place.
