Too damn bad Lugar ain’t running for re-election this year. Would love to see him blasted out of the Senate, friggin RINO!
“In the General/Chat forum, on a thread titled GOP’s Lugar to support Kagan for Supreme Court, ReneeLynn wrote:
As Rush would say hes climbing that ladder to be one of the ruling class and go to their parties..”
No doubt will see him as the Republican on the Sunday talk shows more often this fall.
“The BP well is located in a zone where we have rights because we say we have rights, but the UN Law of the Sea Treaty would concur in that . . .”
Don’t care much about this part of the treaty. Turning exploitation of mineral resources of the sea and environmental issues to the UN is a really BAD idea. Giving the UN a permanent source of funding is a really BAD idea.
As you point out, the 200 mile limit is only real if someone enforces it. Today, that’s us. If we stop being a naval power, we won’t get any help from the UN in that regard. But they will use the environmental provisions of the treaty to shut down our economy and tax our citizens.
Lugar is one of the the R’s who think that’s a good idea.
“He is part of the ruling class. That says it all.”
Fair enough. But there is enough opposition amongst other Senators to have prevented this monstrosity from passing. So just being a member of the ruling class is not sufficient. One has to be a fake R to get there. He has been elected by misleading the voters.
Can you believe this turd was once bandied about as a longshot Prez candidate?
Cheers!
Time to drug test all federal employees, including elected officials.
This is the problem with long serving members of both houses, they eventually believe they are above those who elect them. They set up machines so that no one will primary them and in Indiana so that no democrat would run against them, the same deal was made for Evan Bayh, until he decided not to run.
Lugar also has 603 acres of black walnut trees registered on the Chicago Climate Exchange......how do you think he will vote for cap & trade?
Thats right Lugar will vote to create a market for himself and his family, they will make a fortune of of it just like they have farm subsidies.
Lugar is almost 80 so I don't think he is ever going to learn the lesson. He is the perfect poster boy for term limits.
