Shepherd Smith just led the 7:00 news hour with a story on the Shirley Sherrod case.
He stated that the original video of her speech to the NAACP (which was released by Andrew Breitbart) was EDITED to present her out of context.
Smith played the portion of the clip that included Sherrod stating that she did not give the white farmer all the help she could have.
Smith then stated that the full clip shows that this was taken out of context and then played the part of the clip in which Shirley said it was revealed to her it was not so much a black vs white thing as a haves vs have-nots thing.
But that part Smith was claiming puts her in context WAS INDEED IN THE EXCERPT THAT BREITBART RELEASED!
Both the part Smith claimed took her out of context AND the part of the video Smith claimed put it INTO context were part of the original excerpt released by Breitbart!

Geesh...the whole POINT of the clip was not Shirley, but the NAACP’s LAUGHTER when she said what she did!!! They had NO idea it had a better, fairer ending...they were laughing that a WHITE GUY GOT SCREWED BY A BLACK WOMAN!!
I can hardly stand to watch Cavuto any more. He constantly interrupts people with wise guy remarks that he apparently thinks are humorous. He is almost as bad as Chrissy Matthews at not letting anyone else speak.

Shep is very left wing. The Internet also says he's gay. I think Rush alluded to that - sort of - on his show. Rush almost said it, but decided not to.
I've noticed he has a tendency to sensationalize anything that would hurt a Republican, and play down anything that would hurt a a democrat. Watch for this, and you'll see it's pretty obvious once you look for it.
I refuse to watch Shep for that very reason.
Didn't watch FOX at all until recently, because of Sheps emotional outbreaks during Katrina.
Now, I try to catch some Beck, but only Special Report ands FOX News Sunday.
Tried to watch O'Blowhard and Hannity, but just. couldn't. do it.
Yeah. Same here. O'reilly thinks he's tough but fair. I think he just tries to stay in the middle of the road because he's a coward. He's afraid of causing controversy.

Kudos to Fox News reporter James Rosen who correctly reported on the O’Reilly factor tonight that the original clips posted by Breitbart did indeed include footage in which she described her racial transformation, although it has grown into a widely-peddled myth that this was not the case.
