The grocery stores in Virginia already can sell beer and wine. The ABC stores are where you have to go for “hard” liquor, spirits, etc.

And why shouldn't you be able to buy "hard" liquor at the grocery store? Trying to figure why people would be so inconvenienced.

I tend to agree. I think it all goes back to prohibition. But I enjoy going to a good liquor store to look around and discover things. That’s how I found Fernet Branca. And Pimm’s.
