It looks 180 degrees different than the excerpt. I'm not getting the point you're trying to make and am not going to watch 45 minutes of the NAACP ceremony to find out.
Are you saying the excerpt posted here is misleading in portraying her as racist and that viewing the full Shirley Sherrod video somehow inviolates her comments? I'm sorry, I don't get the point of view you're trying to convey.

Do I believe that the organization is racist? YES, Do I believe that she is pandering to the racists sitting in that audience in the MAJORITY of her speech? YES! Do I believe that she is at her core a racist? I dont know. The majority of her speech is full of racists overtones, HOWEVER, some credit must be given to her for standing up in front of those people and telling them that basically enough is enough, that their is no place for difference based on race.
I still believe that if a white person was standing there and had given that speech verbatim, they would be excoriated and the would be calling for their head on a stick.
I really did not want to to watch the entire speech, but I did and I am glad I did.
I still wont give the NAACP one iota of credibility, but this women showed and explained a very human trait of having made a mistake, self correcting and making amends, at least in this instance that the spotlight has been pointed at.
