Yes, cranes are good to eat which is why the Sandhill Crane once was considered endangered. Market hunters(before regulation of hunting)just about wiped them out.

In Texas they’re called a Rib-eye in the sky, we’ve been hunting them since the mid 60’s. They’re not fish eaters, around here it’s the corn and milo fields that really draw they’re attention.

Are cranes good to eat?Tried it once at a wild game feed. My palette was overwhelmed by the moose meatballs at the time. But I remember it as OK.
