I read a simple comment on a blog about this woman’s actions and the guy related a conversation he had with a coworker who had served prison time. He didn’t mention the person’s color but he told the coworker he didn’t care what color obama was and the coworker replied “you may not care what color he is but he cares what color you are.”
I think that summed up very simply what we are up against. Those of us who have not led lives full of bigotry will find out that when obama gets things stirred up enough, THEY will not be as discriminating as we have been and that’s what is frightening. None of the advances in civil rights made since the mid ‘60’s will have any meaning. They will start at ground zero to get even with whitey.
MLK - they will deny ever hearing of him. Why does his “I Have a Dream” speech mean more to us (whites) than to them (blacks)???
