Debbie Macomber wrote a book called “20 Wishes, definitely a chick book, that is built around this theme. The story points out how the characters begin to prioritize their lives differently when they memorialize their “wishes” on paper and get together to share their experiences as they check off their completed wishes.

I want to go peacefully in my sleep, not kicking and screaming like the passengers in grandad’s car.

What are you talking about? About 30 relatives have died since 2004 when my daughter died from complications of Crohn’s Disease. My mom was nearly 103 when she died. She had been singing “Going Home” for several years before she died. All of her close relatives had already gone home and she wanted to be with them. In August 2009, a cousin died from cancer. In May her sister died of cancer and 2 weeks later, the last sister died from cancer. They were ready to Go Home, too. They all are in a much better place than we are. Sure, we all miss them but we will be together again. God has blessed me beyond measure. He is great all of the time.

Giving in a way that gives life and encourages responsibility can be a challenge—particularly in this country.
Even overseas, one may have to choose recipients and types of projects very wisely.

Well, I’ve pretty much done a bit of everything except fish for Artic Grayling and shoot the 7x7 bull elk that I saw at a distance while hunting the Malheur Forest of Eastern Oregon in 1997. I’d like for my wife and I to travel around the country in an old pickup with an Airstream camper and share Jesus with folks that have never set foot in a church. Maybe do all of them at one time...

Don’t be self employed, the government will make your life miserable. If I knew when I started my business what I know today, I would be renting chairs and umbrellas on a beach somewhere, only dealing in cash. The government has made my life hell. Constant forms to fill out, regulations to follow... it really sucks owning a business. I hate this government.
So, my goal is to win the lottery, take my cash and tell the US government to P.O. Of course that will be after it steals half of my winnings. Here is to hoping for that asteroid to hit DC soon.
I would also like to ride a bike on the Great Wall of China.

I’m not the least bit interested in watching.
It would be enough to know a pack of drunks had achieved the results in a chicken coop in Siberia.

120 in a Datsun 260Z late at night between Phoenix and San Diego was fast enough for me.
Then the new wife drove and I woke up from a nap and she’d been cruising that fast for many miles.

You got a lot of work to do. Nice selection (except for one or two), but then we all have different tastes.
