Robyn Gibson Defends Mel to Court: Report

Mel Gibson's soon-to-be-ex-wife Robyn is coming out in support of the embattled actor in a sworn declaration filed with in court this morning, according to a new report.

"Mel never engaged in any physical abuse of any kind toward me before, during or after our marriage ... Mel was a wonderful and loving father," she wrote, TMZ.com reported.

The document was filed as part of the custody battle between Gibson and ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva. Lawyers for both sides are in a Los Angeles courtroom today in the matter.

That statement also questions her veracity. She did not have to come forward. Her divorce is almost final. Silence would cost her nothing. She obviously couldn't remain silent. To indicate that she may be "in denial" was NOT nice.

Mel has acknowledged in interviews that he’s put his wife through hell - although he’s been vague as to what kind of hell it was.
In the context of the interview I saw - I tended to think it was alcoholism - selfishness - and cheating.

Moreover, all financial considerations aside; THIS was the woman that ‘broke up their marriage’ when photos were published of her and Mel getting together on the beach while she was at home.

The woman would have to be an absolute Saint to not hold any hard feelings for the gold digger bitch. It seems that you think she married a Saint, do you also find her Saintly by proxy?

Also, if Mel on the tapes can be believed; maybe he doesn't have all the money everybody thinks he has anyway! He had to sell his Lakers box seat!

Either way, the bigger the payout to the gold digger, the less there is for him to lavish on the children they share, and the less the children stand to inherit.
