Apple was on Tuesday facing a growing backlash over poor iPhone 4 reception after the technology group blocked links on its user-support pages to a negative review by an influential US consumer watchdog.
Consumer Reports, the non-profit magazine, on Monday published a review online that stated it had tested three iPhone 4s in controlled settings and found that touching the lower left corner can significantly degrade the signal, causing dropped calls.
Apple deleted references in several online discussions to the consumer groups online posting, leading VentureBeat and investment blogs to pounce on what they described as censorship in the Apple-hosted forums

And before someone says it, it's not AT&T: my iPhone reception is noticeably worse than my Razr and Sony 580i reception ever was.
Furthermore, OS4 wasn't ready for primetime on a 3GS and by itself, screws the phone up a tad.
You sure do know a lot about what has been posted in the last decade on FR to have only been a member for less than 2 years. But I guess that is better than your past motto of waging war on FR against slights that happened on other sites.
And please direct me to all these anti-Windows posts that are similar where a negative Windows article is posted by a Mac user who then pings other Mac users to sit around and talk about how awful Windows users are.
>>>Go join your buddies at the racist NAACP.
Who was it that was bemoaning personal attacks a few posts up again? Do as you say, not as you do?
“Who was it that was bemoaning personal attacks a few posts up again? Do as you say, not as you do?”
Yes I was ‘bemoaning’ the personal attacks you made upon me without provocation. You are the one that compared me to the NAACP.
You are the one that has ignored my request to keep discussion on the topic of this thread. That of the backlash against Apple.
>>>Telling an entire ping list to ignore specific people is censorship.
No, it’s good sense.
Preventing you from having a voice at all by preventing you from posting would be censorship. You’re still getting your say. You are not being censored. Just ignored, as I should be doing.... damn, I let myself be goaded into behaving like he is... shame on me.
Swordmaker asks people to do something totally voluntary and not respond to you or a few others who definitely appear to often be getting your jollies from flaming Mac users. If he is censoring anyone, it isn’t you, but again he can’t enforce his request.
At least I don’t think so. I haven’t seen anywhere that posting to you will get me kicked off the ping list.
Just look at the tagline for the Mac Propaganda Minister.

Swordmaker (Remember, the proper pronunciation of IE is AAAAIIIIIEEEEEEE!)
I remember defending Apple back in the day, and now, I get sick of seeing (some) of the Apple Fanatics. I would hate the Windows Fanatics, if there were any. I dont care for the Linux Fanatics either..
I just don't see why there is all the hatred for companies and machines, jeese.
My brother has a new iPhone 4. And yes, we tested it in a fringe area and sure enough, it drops a call or two. He's still happy with it though because where he lives and works, it ain't a fringe area, plus, he uses a silicone case around it which fixes the problem.
As for me, I'm waiting for the iPad prices to drop, then I'll probably get one. But I dont worship the company. I save fandom for real important things like... Sports!!!!! :)
” but again he cant enforce his request.’
Oh he’s tried. He’s gone whining to the mods and to Jim.
Yes and y ou’ve ignored my multiple requests to keep the thread on topic. You are a troll.
I eagerly await you making the argument that IE is actually a good piece of software. And I totally fail to see the equivalence between that and an attack on “macbots”.
“But I dont worship the company. I save fandom for real important things like... Sports!!!!! :) “
At least you’re reasonable. Too bad about the national league last night.
‘I eagerly await you making the argument that IE is actually a good piece of software. And I totally fail to see the equivalence between that and an attack on macbots.”
Post a thread on it and I might join it. Are you even capable of making an on topic post?
Again, not censorship. Maybe a boycott, but not censorship.
I don't understand the need to post (seemingly) every article/blog/sneeze that talks about the same iPhone 4 issue. Then use each thread to make fun of anyone who uses/enjoys any product made by Apple. And then when people react to the usually over-generalized statements, claim persecution. It has grown old fast. But continues. And I don't expect it to end soon...
>>>You are a troll.
Pot. Kettle. Black. This whole thread’s reason for being is you trolling.
Your first comment was about censorship at FR. So it would seem to be at least a topic you want up for discussion in this thread. If there is actual trolling going on that calls for censorship (that I don’t think exists) would seem to be key to that discussion.
As for the article you posted, this isn’t a good position for Apple. What else is there to add? That they are best served by making it right as quickly as possible? With that said, a lot of people probably are not that affected by it to begin with because an iPhone not in a case was already pretty rare. It still isn’t a good thing.
Too much hating today on the threads

No thanks on slashdot, does not sound attractive.
‘Your first comment was about censorship at FR”
No it was about censorship at Apple.
