I find this current vuvuzela 'fad' being referred to as 'new' rather comical, as I can recall very clearly the exact same type of horn at Major League Baseball games in the early 70's ... I even had one!

I don't remember whether I got mine at a Mets or Yankees game, but it was the exact same thing --- plastic (blue) starting out as a trumpet-like mouthpiece which was 'spit' into, then tapering for 2' into a small 4" bell horn on the far end. Same exact thing.
