Paul predicted Spain to win the final. Not looking good for Holland, I must say.

A good game.

There were definite period in the game where Germany looked a little lost on both sides of the ball but they made the goals when they needed to.

So it’s a clean sweep of Europe over South America (5-0) in all head-to-head matches, from the Quarterfinals on.

The next edition of the New Testament will need to include the predictions by the Prophet Paul..

In regards to Post #8, that’s an envious strong of World Cup appearances.

My hope is to one day see the US at least make the Final 8 or Final 4 of the World Cup.

USA is improving. And you can imagine how depressing that is to the soccer nations - LoL!

Only two teams beat Spain in the last year, USA did, in Africa last year.

Is there anything sillier than playing for third place?

We did make the Final 8 in 2002, and lost to Germany, only because of a questionable non-handball call in the penalty area.

Watched it (because it was on the TV) at an outdoor cafe. Was an interesting match for soccer. Most of the Colombians were for Uruguay.

The way the tournament is structured (you end with the four top teams in the semifinals), it would be silly - even retarded, not to play for third place.
