Yikes.......I am cautiously hopeful that things won’t get out of hand. I live in downtown Oakland near ground zero for the protests.

The judge has ruled out murder 1, so fireworks are expected, even if found guilty.

That alone would probably bolster the degree of riots. I bet these thugs want nothing less than guilty of first degree, premeditated murder.

The freaks want “reparations” for being born black.

You would lose your bet. First degree murder was not on the table. Jury will decide on 2nd degree murder, manslaughter (invol & vol.) or acquittal.

I was just saying that’s what they’d want.
To: GSWarrior
Since you used the word “bet” if I had to bet, I would bet he’s getting involuntary manslaughter (if I was a betting person). :O)
To: library user
The jury didn't deliberate very long. I'd wager that it's involuntary manslaughter or acquittal.
Either way, I have to walk home tonight in about two hours and am concerned about spontaneous outbreaks of anger/rioting in my neighborhood.

OK, stay safe. And I appreciate the update on the jury deliberation.
To: smokingfrog
It still is in breaking news, at least currently.

New Black Panthers were out yesterday stating there would be hell if this trial did not go their way. Chewing my fingernails right now.

Maybe this is why none of the networks have gone to the courtroom yet. Unless cameras are banned in the courtroom.
